Aberdare National ParkEncircled by the wild and beautiful moorlands of the third highest mountain range in Kenya, this atmospheric park offers a mist wreathed realm where elephants roam through linchen hung forests, spectacular waterfalls plunge into churning pools and have trout filled streams which cascade through mossy dells. Samburu National ReserveThe baking desert plains occasionally rise into spectacular highlands like the Matthews range, Loroghi hills, Lesiolo Escarpment. The fertile river plains attract a wealth of big game, including many endemic northern species. Lake Nakuru National ParkTruly a bird lovers paradise with over 2 million of pink flamingo’s that flock to feed on the teeming algae of its alkaline waters, the park offers an incredible 450 different species of birds. The park hosts one of the largest black rhino concentration in the country, where as substantial numbers of white rhino have also been introduced for the sanctuary. Amboseli National ParkAmboseli is dominated by the magnificent backdrop of Mt kilimanjaro, Africa’s highest mountain. Here you get to see some of the country’s largest elephant herds Tsavo East National ParkOffers a vast and untapped arena of arid bush, which is washed by the meanderings of the Galana River. Guarded by the limitless lava reaches of the Yatta plateau and patrolled by some of the largest herds in Kenya. Tsavo East is well known for Aruba dam, Mudanda rock, and the longest lava flow in the world, Lugards falls and spectacular voyages of discovery. Halls Gate National ParkHells gate National park provides an ideal venue for a truly panoramic picnic spot or an evocative camping stop over, cleft deep into the floor of the rift valley this park provides endless biodiversity and spectacular scenery including the Fischers Tower, Central Tower and Njorowa gorges. The geothermal field is one of the hottest sources of natural steam in the world with an underground water temperature of 304 deg C. It’s a breeding ground for Eagles and vultures and also 103 species of birds have been recorded in the sanctuary. Maasai Mara Game ReserveThe mighty Mara remains one of Kenya’s best-loved reserves, its beauty of wide savannah, rolling hills & riverine forests with huge grazing herds of bountiful bird life and Africa’s largest population of lions. As the rains bring the grasslands of the Mara to life, the vast plains rumble with thunder of approaching hooves as 1.5 million wildebeest migrate north from the Serengeti. The Mara is homeland to the Masai, Kenya’s most famous and fearsome tribe, these proud pastrolists cross the plains, draped in red cloaks and beaded jewellery. Mt Kenya National ParkKenya’s highest point rises from thick forests to a spectacular pointed peak and stands at 5,199m, the tropical ice forms a series of glaciers, frozen faces and scree around the summit. The ethereal white peak is a remarkable vision, floating high over the surrounding Laikipia plains. Trekking is like a dream come true and it’s easy to customize a hike through a range of different altitudes, geographical and climatic zones. Shimba Hills National ReserveFloating a misty cool 400m above the palm fringed reaches of kenyas glittering coast line, Shimba hills offers a unique blend of wood – cloaked downs, wandering elephants, breeze fanned hills, plunging water falls and the primeval stillness of one of the last remaining coastal rainforests on earth. Famed as the only Kenyan habitat of the rare and magnificent sable antelope. Tsavo West National ParkTsavo west has beauty of endless skies, emerald hills, liquid lava flows, palm fringed rivers, teeming wildlife and sparkling oasis set against the unforgettable back drop of mile upon mile of cloud shadowed African savannah.
