Lake Naivasha Sawela Lodge is situated off the Moi South road and on the southern shores of Lake Naivasha, about 85 Kilometers from Nairobi and 13kms from Naivasha town.

It is slightly over an hours drive from Nairobi the capital city.

The lodge is situated around Lake Naivasha with the natural Yellow/green acacia trees surrounding the lake side are on the shores of this fresh water lake.

With the most ultra-modern facilities and unique architectural design of the lodge, the environment provides enriching relaxation with magnificent views of the volcanic Mount Longonot.

The lodge offers 24 superior rooms and 18 Deluxe rooms ranging in choice of either a single or double.

Rooms
The lodge consists of 70 superior guest rooms furnished with wrought iron and mahogany furniture and have a step-down sitting area with television. They are clustered in blocks of 10 rooms, with 6 on the ground flour and 4 on the top.

The end rooms on either side of the block also have extra open air showers.

HOT SPRING TOUR: There are two hot springs in the area. A visit to the hot springs on a close by island takes two hours with plenty of bird, crocodile and hippo watching en route. Another colorful sight en route is one of Njemps fishermen off-loading nets full of tilapia, catfish, mudfish and bass while the village women and children sort them into size.

BIRD WATCHING / BIRD WALKS: There are two scheduled walks a day with a resident ornithologist.

GARDEN WALKS: This gentle walk is most rewarding for keen birders and novices alike. Lake birds and bush birds fill every tree and shrub.

Treetops Lodge

Located in Aberdare National Park, this world-renowned rustic Treehouse on its 80th anniversary is now open after 6 months of complete renovation.

This game viewing lodge was originally built in 1932 and is famous as the place where the then-Princess Elizabeth ascended to the British Throne. The father King George VI died on 5th Feb 1952 the night she spent at Treetops while on honeymoon.

Treetops lies in the path of an ancient Elephant migratory route between the Aberdare Ranges and Mt Kenya National park, and is strategically sited right in front of a natural watering hole and salt lick.

STANDARD ROOMS – All en-suite have twin beds than can be converted to king size double bed. All rooms have showers and are fitted with a luggage rack for the safari suitcase.

The Ark Lodge

Accommodation
The accommodation in the Ark is in the form of cabins that are self-contained with a shower and toilet.

The rooms are on three levels A, B and C. Deck C is the main deck where all the main lodge facilities are located, including the restaurant, cloakrooms and bar. There is also access for wheel chairs, for those who require it.

From the safety and comfort of all the four decks, one can watch the wild animals visiting the water hole in front of the Ark.

Wildlife

Some animals such as leopards are shy; however, they are often seen during the morning and evening safari drives.

Sailing like an ark amid the primeval forests of Kenya’s highest mountain, Mount Kenya, this timbered tree hotel offers champagne-clear mountain air, sweeping views across the tree-canopy, sparkling trout streams, and gentle forest walks.

Located at 2,134 metres above sea level, on the lower slopes of the mountain, the lodge is cool, tranquil and hushed for optimum game-sightings.
