Kilaguni Serena Safari Lodge
Kilaguni lodge is located in Tsavo West National Park, 275 km South East of Nairobi.
Apart from the abundant wildlife, the park boasts other numerous attractions such as the crystal clear waters of Mzima Springs, Shetani and Chaimu lava flows and the roaring rocks.
Faced in volcanic stone and utilising the natural rocky out crops of a valley known as ‘the place of the young rhino’, from which it takes its name, the lodge features a thatched central dining area and a rock-built bar, with a viewing terrace looking directly down on to the waterhole.
Access
Kilaguni Serena Safari Lodge is located within the Tsavo West National Park ( a short drive from the main Mtito Andei Gate), which lies 280 kilometres from Nairobi.
By road: transfers by road from Nairobi take approximately 5 hours.
Accommodation
The lodge provides 56 rooms (5 suites and 51 standard rooms). All rooms have air conditioning, mosquito nets, power points, hot water showers, balcony and laundry services.
All the spacious ensuite rooms have their own verandas, some overlooking the waterhole, some the Chyulu Hills, which are one of the world’s youngest volcanic ranges.

Guided nature walks or bird-watching walks, bush breakfasts, volcano climbs and trips to Mzima Springs, sundowners on Roaring Rocks, visit to Akamba communities, opportunities to buy Akamba handicrafts, a set of crystal-clear ponds, fed by the melt waters of Mount Kilimanjaro, in which the many hippos can be viewed from a submerged chamber.
