JUNIOR SUITES: Built under “makuti” thatch and furnished with traditional Zanzibar furniture, these 26 junior suites facing the sea, under a beautiful palm-grove or on a small hill.
COTTAGES: These 35 cottages are built under “makuti” thatch and furnished with traditional Zanzibar furniture.
GARDEN ROOM: Built as well under “makuti” thatch and furnished with traditional Zanzibar furniture.

Food & Drink
Food at Karafuu is good The resort’s 3 restaurants mean there is plenty of choice. Breakfast is exciting, filling and fresh; breads, fruits and pastries with hot options available (eggs and bacon).
The included dinner is from an extensive buffet. There are always meat, fish and vegetarian options on offer as well as various salads and desserts. Dinner can be eaten outdoors. Changing live entertainment accompanies dinner nightly.
The hotel also offers a choice of two bars. Drinks are good and the wine-list.
Activities
There are 2 floodlit tennis courts for you free of charge. The rackets are available for rent at the dive centre. Also on offer is daily gym sessions in the pool, volleyball, aerobics and diving.
The hotel offers Pool table, Table tennis, board games, darts, playing cards… All is available from the reception free of charge.

Other facilities offered by the Karafuu include a boutique (more expensive than many of the market stalls and shops of Zanzibar), conference centre, exchange service (rates tend to be far worse than at banks on the island and at Dar Es Salaam) onsite PADI dive centre and wedding and honeymoon services.
