Sentrim Camp

Sentrim Amboseli’s location deep inside the reserve guarantees close encounters with the park’s renowned elephants. Also happily roaming the grasslands are buffallos, wildebeast, zebra, giraffes, impalas and several predators.

The camp is located 280 kilometers south of Nairobi and 260 kilometers north of Mombasa. During the wet season, the rains flood the lake bed and the surrounding area.

Accommodation
This luxurious tented lodge offers 60 modern tents with a private view of Mt. Kilimanjaro.

The spacious tents boast the very latest in luxury camping with soft beds, an ensuite bathroom with a steaming hot shower. The bathroom also offers a washbasin and flush toilets. In the tent, we provide a coffee and tea making facility, fridge, fan, hair drier and electronic safe deposit boxes.

Dining

Finch Hattons’ 35 acre concession sits on the south western edge of Tsavo West. A green oasis fed by an underground spring that pumps a constant supply of water into three pools before disappearing back into the volcanic earth.

Crocodiles and a healthy population of terrapins and monitor lizards are often seen sunning themselves at the water’s edge while a wide variety of game has been sighted in and around the camp which is unfenced so the animals come and go as they please.

The camp accommodates up to 60 people in spacious safari “tents” attractively constructed in light beige canvas with large “windows”, wooden flooring and a permanent thatched roof.

All have en-suite bathrooms, large mirrors, WC, hot and cold running water and showers and are equipped with a fully stocked mini bar, shaver outlets for 110v and 200v and hairdryers.

The emphasis is on tasteful comfort with either double or twin beds, period brass lamps, writing desks and Afghan ‘Kilims’
